America has been at war since Sept. 11, 2001, but many Americans question whether we are winning. In his new book, “Defeating Jihad,” national security expert Sebastian Gorka makes the case that this is indeed a winnable war but that the first step to winning is identifying your enemy.
In his interview with The Daily Signal, Gorka says our enemy is not “terror” or “violent extremism.” It is the global jihadi movement—a modern totalitarian ideology rooted in the doctrines and martial history of Islam. Gorka points to the Cold War as proof America has defeated totalitarian enemies before and lays out a plan for how we can do it again.
