Is Donald Trump making massive gains among minority voters this year?

Some exit polls and an early result suggest so.

“Latino men are breaking for Trump by a 10-point margin, 54% to 44%, in a major reversal from four years ago, according to the NBC News Exit Poll. In 2020, Latino men backed [Joe] Biden over Trump by a 23-point margin, 59% to 36%,” reports NBC News.

Miami-Dade County in Florida is 69% Hispanic according to the U.S. Census Bureau. But it appears Trump won the county, according to The New York Times, which also reported that the county hasn’t gone for a Republican presidential candidate since 1988.

The Washington Post exit polls show Trump winning 45% of Hispanics and 14% of black voters. That’s a significant uptick from the outlet’s 2020 exit poll, which showed Trump winning 32% of Hispanic voters and 12% of black voters.

An Edison Research exit poll shows that Trump is up 13 percentage points from 2020 among HIspanic voters, reports Reuters. Forty-five percent of Hispanics are supporting Trump.
