How Twitter Reacted to Harry Reid’s Retirement Announcement

This morning, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid announced that he will retire in 2016 and not seek re-election.

Reid expressed his desire for the Democrats to gain control of the Senate in 2016, and said that his decision had nothing to do with his injury or re-election prospects. Here’s how politicians reacted to the news on Twitter:

In an interview with The Washington Post, Reid endorsed Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., to become the next minority leader.

“I think Schumer should be able to succeed me,” Reid said.
