President Obama may not speak of the tragedy in Benghazi at tonight’s State of the Union address, but the father of a former Navy SEAL who was killed in the attacks will be in attendance.

Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) will host the father of Ty Woods, Charles Woods, at the speech in the United States Capitol.

“As a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, I understand the importance of knowing that America leaves no one behind. I am honored to host the father of a true hero,” said Bridenstine in a statement.

Ty Woods was killed along with three others including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, in the September 2012 attacks that sparked an outrage across America.

Anger about the attacks recently resurfaced when a new intelligence report revealed that officials knew immediately it was a terrorist attack that was launched on the American embassy in Benghazi.

Initially, the Obama Administration blamed the attacks on protests against an anti-Muslim video.

Bridenstine, along with a host of other Republicans, has been vocal about continuing to press the Obama Administration for answers on the Benghazi attacks.
