VIDEO: Debt Concerns Run Deep for Man on the Street

What is your neighbor saying about the debt? Everyone has heard about the debt crisis, recent news has been dominated by it. But who is really talking about it, and what are they saying?
The majority of the American people seem to routinely be suppressed by the media. Most reports have failed to mention the views of citizens or how the debt crisis is affecting them. Ironic, isn’t it? Congress is supposed to reflect the will of the people, but often it seems to be overshadowed.
But people across the country are eager to see how Washington will solve the nation’s financial issues. That’s why a new video featuring residents of Severn, MD, caught our attention. It features the views of Americans about the debt-ceiling debate.
A worried citizen, like many others, ranked the debt issue as a top priority, “Financial health of this country is the most important thing,” he said. “If we don’t survive financially, then we’re in a lot of trouble.”
With the nation at risk of defaulting, a local worker put it simply, “You can’t spend money you don’t have and don’t make.”
With debt negotiations appearing to have made little advancement, it seems the financial fears of Americans will only deepen — even in liberal Maryland.
