These 229 Businesses and Groups Support Tax Reform
Rachel del Guidice /
Hundreds of businesses and organizations have publicly declared their support for the Senate’s tax reform package, one of the many factors that led to the bill’s passage early Saturday morning on a 51-49 vote.
The list, released by the office of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., includes 229 businesses and other groups that are backing the legislation.
The list includes many household names such as Best Buy, Boeing, Delta Airlines, FedEx, General Electric, General Motors, Home Depot, Target, and Verizon.
The Senate tax plan is the most significant rewrite of the tax code in 31 years. It reduces the corporate tax rate, currently at 35 percent, to 20 percent. For those with pass-through businesses—entities that are “taxed on the business owner’s tax returns through the individual income tax code,” according to the Tax Foundation—there is a 23 percent tax deduction.

President Donald Trump, who has said he wants to sign a bill by Christmas, tweeted his optimism for the home stretch of passing tax reform.
We are one step closer to delivering MASSIVE tax cuts for working families across America. Special thanks to @SenateMajLdr Mitch McConnell and Chairman @SenOrrinHatch for shepherding our bill through the Senate. Look forward to signing a final bill before Christmas! pic.twitter.com/gmWTny3SfS
