What Parents Really Think About Their Kids’ New School Lunches

School lunch standards have changed—and not for the better.
This was evident recently in a Twitter campaign using the hashtag #ThanksMichelleObama. Students took photos of their mostly inedible-looking lunch trays of food.

Why Michelle Obama? Well, she “is pushing for rigid federal control of school meals through the new standards,” according to Heritage Foundation policy expert Daren Bakst.

One person posted the menu at the elite Sidwell Friends School, where President Obama’s girls attend, to showcase the striking differences between their food choices and those offered to children in public schools.
While some of you did say school lunches offered a variety of tasty options, the majority of people were disappointed in what’s being served to children these days. See below.
