My kids used to love math. Now it makes them cry. Thanks standardized testing and common core!— Louis C.K. (@louisck) April 28, 2014

Comedian Louis C.K. doesn’t seem to be a fan of Common Core.

In a tweet today, the comedian, who stars in the FX series Louie, commented on the national education standards: “My kids used to love math.  Now it makes them cry.  Thanks standardized testing and common core!”

Louis C.K. isn’t the first comedian to take aim at Common Core.

Earlier this month, Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert poked fun at the program, saying, “Folks, as much as I didn’t expect it, I may be coming around to the Common Core because it turns out that Common Core testing prepares our students for what they will face as adults: pointless stress and confusion.”
