Louie Gohmert on Climate Change: ‘It’s Real’
Rob Bluey /
Three days after temperatures reached 70 degrees in Washington, D.C., weather forecasts are predicting snow for tomorrow.
March’s unpredictable weather prompted conservative Rep. Louie Gohmert (R–Tex.) to claim (facetiously) that it’s a case of climate change.
“By the way, on climate change, I applaud the Democrats spending all that time,” Gohmert said after Senate liberals conducted an overnight talk-a-thon. “And if any of my colleagues here don’t believe in climate change, you need to start. It’s real; it’s a fact. Most places it happens four times a year and I think we need to acknowledge that.”
