Members of Congress face a deadline this week to keep the government funded — a decision that will once again put the spotlight on House conservatives who may balk at the $1.012 trillion “omnibus” spending bill.
This Wednesday, you’ll have an opportunity to hear directly about the most important debates playing out on Capitol Hill. Conversations with Conservatives starts at 11 a.m. ET and will be broadcast live on The Foundry.
Conversations with Conservatives is a group of free market and liberty-minded members of Congress that meet each month with press and bloggers to discuss pressing issues. This month’s topics will likely range from the Ryan-Murray budget talks to the implementation of Obamacare.
The event is chaired by Representatives Raúl Labrador (R-ID), Tim Huelskamp (R-KS), and Jim Jordan (R-OH). Other participants include Representatives Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Andy Harris (R-MD), Steve King (R-IA), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Tom McClintock (R-CA), Mick Mulvaney (R-SC), and Matt Salmon (R-AZ).
