How Obamacare Hurts Americans: The Story of Ann Lorenz
Crystal Goodremote /
Ann Lorenz struggles with Parkinson’s disease and relies on Medicare to receive care. However, due to Obamacare, Lorenz worries that she will be limited in access to her doctors.
“Patients like Ann will have to start spending more of their own personal money to pay for medications that are not on the Medicare formulary,” said Dr. Jeffrey English, a neurologist who cares for Lorenz.
By 2017, the average senior with Medicare Advantage will see a $3,700 cut in services. It’s one of the consequences of Obamacare.
“I’m all for reform that puts the patient in charge, gives patients access to all the doctors, and reduces costs, and we’ve got the opposite in Obamacare,” English said.
