Editor’s note: In this podcast episode, Nicole Solas said she submitted a public records request to the University of San Diego. She later clarified that she actually submitted the request to the University of Rhode Island.

Rhode Island mom and parental rights advocate Nicole Solas was sued by teachers unions in 2021 after she requested public information about her child’s kindergarten curriculum that included lessons about gender ideology.

The district then also barred her from attending meetings of the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, or BIPOC, Advisory Board.

Solas joined “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss “political indoctrination” at public schools and how to fight back.

“They’re hiding political indoctrination,” Solas told The Daily Signal. “My school district—and I know school districts across the country—they’re mainly employed with staff and teachers that are leftists.

“The education-industrial complex in particular has a lot of radical ideologies that trickle down from our university system,” she continued.
