DeSantis Swings at Trump for Skipping Debate: ‘Donald Trump Is Missing in Action’

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis swung at former President Donald Trump for skipping Wednesday night’s GOP primary debate.
“You know who else is missing in action?” he asked, after critiquing President Joe Biden. “Donald Trump is missing in action.”
“He should be on this stage,” he insisted. “He owes it to you to defend his record.”
In response to this critique, Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told The Daily Signal on Wednesday evening that “Ron DeSantis is on stage with a bunch of losers and has-beens.”
“Right where he belongs,” Cheung added.
Seven Republican candidates stood on stage Wednesday evening to debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. Besides DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum debated Wednesday.
