As the debate over transgenderism and gender identity continues to divide the nation, a politically diverse group of women came together to form a coalition called Hands Across the Aisle.

Their voices include a conservative, a rape survivor, a feminist, and a lesbian activist, all of whom believe that defining sex based on gender identity rather than biology is harmful to women. It reduces women to sexual stereotypes, they say, and erases their status before the law.

Their perspectives, the women say, have been “blacklisted” by the left-leaning news media. But in an exclusive interview in Washington with The Daily Signal, women from Hands Across the Aisle share why they’re uniting on such a controversial issue.
