#ProtestPP, a coalition of pro-life groups, is holding its second national protest of Planned Parenthood on Saturday.

The protests will be held at numerous locations throughout the U.S. and three international locations in Canada, England, and Ireland. The protesters plan to cover as many of Planned Parenthood’s 700 health centers as possible.

According to its website, #ProtestPP is “calling for public protest in response to the recent horrifying revelations that Planned Parenthood has been involved in the illicit trafficking of aborted babies’ body parts.”

The goal of the protests is to shift national and local media attention onto the Planned Parenthood scandal following the release of 10 videos from the Center for Medical Progress that depicted officials from the nation’s largest abortion provider discussing the sale of fetal body parts. Planned Parenthood has denied any wrongdoing.

The protesters and organizers will demand that Planned Parenthood be defunded. They also seek to educate their communities about why they believe that Planned Parenthood is harmful to society.

#ProtestPP’s first national protest was held on Aug. 22 at over 340 Planned Parenthood centers, including international locations. Its website says that “over 78,000 pro-lifers turned out at hundreds of Planned Parenthood locations to protest their barbaric practice of harvesting and selling the body parts of abortion babies—the largest nationwide pro-life protest in history.”

During its first protest, the hashtag #ProtestPP was the number-one trending hashtag on Facebook and Twitter. #ProtestPP is seeking “to build on the impact of the first national day of protest in August and continue building momentum as additional undercover videos are released.”

#ProtestPP and Planned Parenthood did not immediately return The Daily Signal’s request for comment.
