The Center for Medical Progress released a new undercover video on Tuesday of an employee of Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc., a company that procures fetal organs from Planned Parenthood clinics.
The video depicts a conversation an actor portraying a potential buyer from a human biologics company had with Perrin Larton, the procurement manager for Advanced Bioscience Resources.
Planned Parenthood has been supplying fetal organs to Advanced Bioscience Resources for over a decade, according to Dr. Katharine Sheehan, who was the medical director of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest until 2013.
“Because of what we do, and because we use fetal tissue, we don’t want to, um, we want to be as politically correct as we can,” Larton said in the video.
Larton said in during national conversations about embryonic stem cell research, fetal tissue “got lost in the mix.”
“Now they’re trying to make abortion illegal,” Larton said. “And that’s where we get our tissue.”
Larton described relationships with clinics in San Diego, Oregon and Minnesota.
“And soon we’ll be starting in New Jersey and Philadelphia, but not Dr. Gosnell’s clinic though,” Larton said.
Philadelphia abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell was convicted of violating Pennsylvania’s 24-week abortion limit in 2013, and is currently in prison for the first-degree murder of three infants born alive and the involuntary manslaughter of an adult patient named Karnamaya Mongar.
Larton detailed her company’s procurement process, telling the actor “the whole point is not to have a live birth.”
“I literally have had women come in and they’ll go in the O.R. and they’re back out in 3 minutes, and I’m going, ‘What’s going on?’ Oh yeah, the fetus was already in the vaginal canal whenever we put her in the stirrups, it just fell out,” Larton said.
Larton expressed frustration that they aren’t able to procure more intact specimens.
“Everything will just get ripped up, you know,” Larton said. “Whenever we have a smooth portion of liver, we think that’s good… Unfortunately, and I don’t know why, a lot of times the abdomen presents first and they just go in and start pulling. They’re not trying to-“
“They don’t have my interests in mind,” the “buyer” interrupts.
“Or mine,” Larton said. “It really pisses me off.”
The video also shows conversations with Sheehan and Cate Dyer, the CEO of StemExpress, who have been featured in other videos released by the Center for Medical Progress.
“We have already a relationship with ABR,” Sheehan told the actors. “We’ve been using them for over 10 years, really a long time, just kind of renegotiated the contract.”
In the video, Dyer said:
“This is the thing, quite honestly, I used to go into this argument… ABR is a not-for-profit, and um, wasn’t paying any of the clinics, and uh was funding places in Hawaii for themselves, and all sorts of things. But I would go into clinics and they would say, ‘Oh, you’re for profit? And you want to pay us?’ But like, and I’m like, ‘So I want to pay you, she doesn’t want to,’ and I’m like, ‘we’re trying to give money to you.’ You know, and um, they would say ‘Yeah, that is kind of strange.’ You know? And I pay tax, just to be clear, that actually donates, ends up funding programs back to [Planned Parenthood].”
“In the twisted world of baby parts trafficking from Planned Parenthood abortion clinics, there are few unbroken rules,” David Daleiden, the project lead for the Center for Medical Progress’ “Human Capital series, said in a statement.
“After the serious admissions in Planned Parenthood’s letter to Congress last week, it is imperative for lawmakers and law enforcement to act decisively to determine the full extent of Planned Parenthood and their proxies’ lawbreaking, hold them accountable, and stop the taxpayer funding of these barbaric atrocities against humanity.”
Profiting from the sale of fetal human organs is a felony in the United States.
Spokespersons for Planned Parenthood and StemExpress have denied illegal conduct.
Advanced Bioscience Resources did not immediately return The Daily Signal’s request for comment.
StemExpress recently announced that it has terminated its relationship with Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood recently commissioned an analysis of the videos that claimed the conversations with their executives weren’t accurately portrayed.
“Planned Parenthood adheres to the highest standards and follows all laws,” Planned Parenthood chief executive Cecile Richards wrote in a letter to Congress.
