Moments after the House narrowly passed a government spending bill, Reps. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, and Matt Salmon, R-Ariz., spoke to Fox News’ Sean Hannity about their opposition.

The two outspoken conservatives criticized Republican leaders for advancing a spending plan they say will allow Obama to carry out his executive actions to shield millions of illegal immigrants from deportation.

“Let us have a vote on defunding Obama’s amnesty,” said Gohmert, who along with Salmon supported an amendment to block the president’s initiatives. It was never considered by the full House of Representatives.

“At a time when the speaker needed votes,” Gohmert added, “he turned to somebody he really identifies with—the president and liberal Democrats and got them to pass this.”
