More than a decade ago, on Nov. 10, 2001, President George W. Bush addressed the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, just as President Obama did yesterday. Each confronted a terrorist threat to the American homeland, as well as other countries,  from groups in the Middle East.

Obama ran for the presidency in 2008 largely on ending what Bush called a global war on terror. At the United Nations yesterday, however, Obama employed much of the same rhetoric as his predecessor in issuing a call to action for the world. This clip from “The Kelly File” on Fox News captures the similarity.
