Washington appropriators today dropped a massive, 1,582-page spending bill that will fund the entire federal government for FY 2014. The omnibus works off a budget deal that set spending at $1.012 trillion, $45 billion more than previous spending caps were agreed upon by a bipartisan majority in 2011.

The omnibus bill combines 12 appropriation spending bills into one comprehensive measure. Heritage already has warned that this type of rushed, bloated spending bill is guaranteed to include pork projects, ineffective government programs, and giveaways for corporate cronies.
