Heritage’s James Carafano, Vice President for Foreign and Defense Policy Studies, has been chosen to speak on cybersecurity and cyber warfare at the acclaimed South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Conference in Austin, Texas in early 2014.

SXSW is the premier tech and social media event in the country, where thousands convene for two weeks to cover a variety of new technologies and ideas in the tech space.

Carafano was selected from a pool of thousands through the SXSW panel picker online community. The selection process is a mix of votes from the general online public, the SXSW Advisory Board, and SXSW staff. (If you voted, thank you for your vote!)

He will speak on the subjects covered in his recently published book, Wiki at War: Conflict in a Socially Networked World.
