When Jeet Guram arrived at the University of South Carolina, he had two primary interests: medicine and public policy. Through hard work and intellectual curiosity, he was able to delve into both. One of his undergraduate highlights was a summer internship at The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Health Policy Studies.

“It was great, and every day was filled with a lot of different challenges,” Jeet, 22, told Heritage. “After my internship, I never looked at health policy the same way again.”

Now a student at Harvard Medical School, Jeet is more committed than ever to following in his father’s footsteps as a physician.
