America’s demand for an affordable, CO2-free source of energy is bringing the nation to the threshold of a nuclear renaissance. But the United States must first rebuild its nuclear energy infrastructure to fully enjoy the benefits of nuclear power. This is going to create jobs—and lots of them. These will be high paying, technical jobs. They will not only include the sciences but the trades as well. How many jobs are we talking about? And which states stand to receive the most benefit? The American Council on Global Nuclear Competitiveness has commissioned a study by Oxford Economics to examine the state-level occupational and economics of a revived nuclear endeavor in America. Please join us as representatives from the Council and Oxford Economics provide an overview of the study results and will answer questions about the outlook for new nuclear construction in the U.S.
