40 House Democrats Spreading “Bogus Claims” About Abortion

Throughout his sales pitch to the American people, President Barack Obama has always insisted that his health care plan would not use taxpayer funds to pay for abortions. This despite the fact that President Obama promised Planned Parenthood the exact opposite in 2007. During his September 9th address to Congress, President Obama even said: “Some of people’s concerns have grown out of bogus claims spread by those whose only agenda is to kill reform at any cost. … And one more misunderstanding I want to clear up – under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions, and federal conscience laws will remain in place.”

But the New York Times reports today that the only people that believe Obama’s anti-abortion-funding claims are those who support taxpayer funding for abortions. When it comes to people in his own party that actually are pro-life, they do not believe Obamacare goes far enough in preventing taxpayer funded abortions. From the NYT: (more…)
